NEET (UG) For Admission to Under Graduate Medical Courses – 2026
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET (UG) exam will be held on May 4 in 552 cities across the country through the National Examination Agency. There are 128875 MBBS seats in 819 medical colleges across the state as on 29th Oct 2025. There are 950 colleges of AYUSH which include BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS. About 210774 seats are operational including 27868 seats of 330 dental colleges of Dental BDS. Admissions will be done in these in the session 2026-27 on the basis of the result of NEET 2026 exam.
National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test NEET (UG) – 2026 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There shall be a uniform entrance examination to all medical educational institutions at the undergraduate level through such designated authority in Hindi, English and other regional languages.

NEET UG 2026 Eligibility
- Candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
- The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates).
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD).
